History

Syntex introduced Masteron to the pharmaceutical market in 1971, a decade after the introduction of Anadrol, an oral anabolic steroid that shares the same DHT properties but produces drastically different results. In fact, Masteron was a drug used to inhibit breast cancer in postmenopausal women and was under scrutiny in the bodybuilding community until much later.
